Hello 1SE-ians!
Lesley here. Has everyone finished their holiday homework yet? For convenience and ref I've decided to make a list.
For everyone -
- Poetry - do research on two poets, one dead, one alive, and review two poems by each poet, preferably with reference like "Does it reflect their lives?" or "How is the poem similar to their lives?" If that's too much I guess its okay to review the poem as per normal. In total, this assignment should have four poems altogether, all in the poetry journal, plus your research on the poets themselves. Should be alright if you give a summary of about 150 words on their lives - 150, to be absolutely safe.
- Geography - do the online quiz at www.asknlearn.com, the one set by Mr Teo. That's all. His name should be there. Login with your NRIC as both username and password. Nothing in caps - not even letters in your NRICs.
- Geography - nine articles in total on the topics we were asked to do; Weather and Climate, Forests and Deforestation, Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions, River Landforms and Rivers (Positive/Negative impact). Choose 3 topics, collect 3 articles related to each topic and then write a summary for all the topics you chose. It should be more than 100 words, at least. That's what it says on the paper.
- HeyMath - see the online lesson and do the assignment entitled June Holiday HomeFun. It's www.heymath.com and the username and password are NRICs, nothing in caps, not even the letters.
- Maths worksheets on Statistics. Complete those, and the notes.
- Your CE family project - refer to the sheet. It's so long-winded that I can barely summarize it.
- Maths Carnival stuff. Remember the day of your one hour meeting with Mrs Chia.
- English - finish up ALL exercises in Vade Mecum.
That's all for everyone. For Normal Chinese students, you have the book review - read the green book that is very thick that has pictures. I can't explain it, but yeah.
For HML and HCL, I don't know what your homework is.
Now don't get me wrong - I don't like homework. Just complete all the above by the end of June and you should be OK.
